Why Elon Musk Decided To Get off Twitter for a While – And Why You Should Too
It's time to focus all your efforts on achieving your goals.
Elon Musk has been particularly active on Twitter for several weeks. He has had several times fun tweeting about the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, provoking important movements on stocks, before then sharing his opinion about the GameStop affair that has been shaking Wall Street for several days now.
On January 28, 2021, Elon Musk finally confessed his support for Bitcoin by changing the biography of his Twitter profile.
This obviously left no one indifferent since Elon Musk has more than 44 million subscribers on Twitter. Besides, he is one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time. Elon Musk is a visionary whose opinions are scrutinized by millions of people.
De facto, as soon as Elon Musk tweets, it provokes a lot of reactions on the Internet. On February 2, 2021, a dramatic turn of events occurred when Elon Musk announced that he was getting off Twitter for an indefinite period of time:
Following this message, everyone wondered why Elon Musk had made such a sudden decision.
I will give you my personal interpretation.
First of all, you have to keep in mind that Elon Musk is a genius. Like any genius, he is unpredictable. He can get up one morning and make these kinds of decisions that no one will understand. When you spend time studying Elon Musk's tweets, you will quickly see this enigmatic side of him.
The fact that he spent so much time tweeting probably made Elon Musk waste time in conquering his most ambitious goals.
That's how Elon Musk must have felt. Elon Musk leads many projects at the same time as Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, or Neuralink. Elon Musk wants to revolutionize the world in which he lives. His time is therefore extremely precious. He has seen that the time he spends on Twitter distracts him from his real goals.
For Elon Musk, there is nothing more important than turning these ideas into reality. He works hard to push the boundaries that society has set. No one thought it would be possible to go to Mars so quickly. Elon Musk was convinced of this, and he is doing everything he can to accomplish this incredible dream.
In this unbridled quest, Elon Musk has shown for several months now that money is only a means to an end, not an end in itself. He has sold all of his real estates in the last few months to focus fully on these goals. He became the richest man in the world at the beginning of 2021, but he has virtually no cash.
Everything is being done so that he can achieve his goals.
Moving away from Twitter will allow him to eliminate a source of distraction that was taking up his time in a very busy schedule. His decision, therefore, seems logical. Of course, with Elon Musk, we're not immune to the fact that he may change his mind within a week and come back on Twitter. Nevertheless, I do not think that this will happen in the immediate future.
Why don't you try the same thing as Elon Musk for at least a month?
The decision Elon Musk has just made is very inspiring. I think we should also try such an experiment for at least a month. Social networks do everything to capture our attention. All the time you spend on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram is wasted time that you could have used to work hard towards your most ambitious goals.
It is February 3, 2021, as I write these lines. 9% of the year 2021 has already passed!
Without you realizing it, one-tenth of the year 2021 has already gone by. Ask yourself the following two questions:
What have I done during this first month of the year?
Did I manage to reach 10% of my objectives?
If the answer is no, and I'm afraid it is, you should try to find out why. Possible causes include a lack of focus on your work due to a variety of distractions such as social networking.
So try to put aside social networks for the next 30 days, and you'll see what an incredible change this will make in your daily life. You'll have more time to devote to your projects, but also your personal improvement. The famous daily hour that Elon Musk recommends to use every day for deliberate learning will finally be within your reach.
It’s up to you!
