This 8-Letter Word Alone Explains Why the Rich Keep Getting Richer While the Poor Keep Getting Poorer.
It's up to you to use the power of this magic word!
Many people ask themselves the same question over and over again: why can't I get rich?
These people have real reasons to ask this question. Indeed, they work hard. They are motivated and do not spare any effort to achieve their goals. Yet, they don't manage to get rich as others do.
If these people do not succeed, it is because there is a secret that they do not master!
This secret is contained in 8 letters: LEVERAGE.
The definition of this word is given to us in this quote from Robert Kiyosaki:
“In the broad definition, the word leverage simply means the ability to do more with less.”
The author of the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” knows well why many people feel that the rich keep getting richer, while the poor get poorer over time, or else can do nothing but maintain their original level of wealth.
The secret is not how much work you are willing to do. That would be too simple if it were enough. Working hard is important, but working smart is even more important!
Another interesting quote from Robert Kiyosaki on leverage:
“People without leverage work for those with leverage.”
The story of the two fishermen will help you to become aware of the power of leverage
Let's take the example of two fishermen. Both have the goal of maximizing the amount of fish they can catch on each fishing trip. Both will get up very early each day, working the same number of hours from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.
These two fishermen have virtually the same physical skills. They fish in the same areas, at the same times, and have boats with similar capacities. Yet, one of them is getting richer and richer, while the other remains poor.
The difference here is how these two fishermen go fishing. The rich fisherman uses leverage to his advantage day after day.
The rich fisherman uses nets on his boat, which allows him to catch more fish every day. The poor fisherman uses fishing rods to just get by. The difference between these two fishermen will become more and more pronounced as time goes by.
Indeed, the more fish he catches, the more money the rich fisherman will have to invest in his business to increase the leverage. He will be able to buy a second boat by employing other fishermen, then a third, and so on... The rich fisherman will get richer by using the time of others, the money of others by borrowing from banks to buy other boats and other nets, and the talents of others that will help him find even better fishing grounds.
The rich fisherman will have succeeded in building an empire from an initial activity that is virtually identical to that of the poor fisherman. The poor fisherman will find it increasingly difficult to survive as time goes by because the rich fisherman's higher fishing volumes will allow him to lower prices, making life increasingly difficult for the poor fisherman.
This short story is a reminder that your best ally in becoming rich is an 8-letter word: LEVERAGE.
