The Central Bank of the Russian Federation Says Yes to Bitcoin, but Only for the Rich 🤔

This is not a joke, but a true statement by Elvira Nabioullina.

In 2025, the lines are starting to move regarding the relationship between central bankers and Bitcoin. You have the Fed, which is obliged to talk about it more seriously now that Donald Trump has endowed America with a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Jerome Powell explains that, from his point of view, Bitcoin is not a threat to the dollar, but rather a competitor to gold. Jerome Powell is wrong, but he's not the only one to underestimate the true liberating power of the Bitcoin revolution.

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, you know Christine Lagarde, head of the ECB, who is constantly repeating all the bad things she thinks about Bitcoin. According to her, Bitcoin is dangerous, but on the other hand, the fast-preparing digital Euro would be great for the people. Just one more lie from the ECB, but don't let it dissuade you from the only sensible position towards these CBDCs: REJECT CBDCs.

China isn't communicating too much on the subject, but you can be sure it won't be long before the CCP creates its own strategic Bitcoin reserve as soon as Trump's America starts accumulating more BTC.

On the Russian side, Vladimir Putin has never stopped blowing hot and cold on the subject of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. But Putin is more interested in Bitcoin as a way of bypassing US sanctions against Russia than in enabling his people to access the liberating power of Bitcoin.

It was against this somewhat uncertain backdrop that Elvira Nabioullina, President of Russia's Central Bank, took a stance on Bitcoin a few days ago. For her, Bitcoin should be ā€œreserved for the wealthiest individualsā€.

This more than astonishing position, which is the antithesis of the deeper meaning of the Bitcoin revolution, deserves to be explored to fully understand what Bitcoin is, what it will be, and what it may not be in its current form.

Bitcoin Isn’t Just Money, Bitcoin Is Freedom.

For proof of this, we need look no further than everyday examples from around the world.
