Suspected of Having Created Bitcoin, the CIA Now Sees Bitcoin as a Central Tool for America's Domination of the World.
America's strategy with Bitcoin is becoming increasingly clear.
Everyone knows by now (or so I hope) that the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin. However, nobody knows who this Satoshi Nakamoto is. Nobody can even say whether he is an individual or a group of individuals. This played a key marketing role in the emergence of Bitcoin in the 2010s. Among the wildest theories to have circulated about the genesis of Bitcoin is that the CIA created it. This has never been proven, of course, but some believe it to be true.
The recent statement by the CIA's new director is likely to add further grist to the mill of those who subscribe to this theory of Bitcoin's creation. Michael Ellis declared that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies were tools that the USA could use to combat its adversaries, notably China.
