Putin Wants His War in Ukraine to Be Part of a Crusade Against the West: Another Shameless Lie.

Putin is waging an odious war in Ukraine that has nothing to do with what he claims to be fighting against the West.

From the beginning of the Russian offensive in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin has tried to place his odious war within the framework of the anti-Western crusade that Xi Jinping's China intends to lead to rebalancing the world.

Putin has clearly understood that the CCP's goal is to make China the world's leading superpower ahead of America by 2049. This date is not insignificant, since it will be the 100th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. The CCP dreams of being able to celebrate this centenary having surpassed America.

Putin understands that Russia does not have the means to compete economically with China, let alone with America. However, China needs a strong Russia to some extent. Putin has understood that Xi Jinping is interested in Russia's natural resources.

China is after all the largest consumer of black gold in normal times. The situation is somewhat different at the moment with Xi Jinping's zero-COVID policy which is putting China's economy in trouble. But it will come back sooner or later.

So Putin wanted to show the world his “no limits friendship” with Xi Jinping just before invading Ukraine. The CCP was not particularly excited about this prospect, but I guess Putin promised that things would go fast like when he illegally annexed Crimea in February 2014.

Unfortunately, seven months later, the world is watching a Russia that is weaker than ever. China is not mistaken and is beginning to distance itself from the cumbersome friend Putin, who is too warmonger for Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping wants a multipolar world to undermine American domination, but certainly not by doing it the way Putin does.

The CCP wants to outdo America by leveraging the trade, economy, and institutions of the current system. Putin, on the other hand, respects nothing and no one and simply wants to make Ukraine his own out of sheer expansionist folly. Putin thinks he is Peter the Great and believes that his destiny is to enlarge the Russian territory, which already represents more than 11% of the habitable surface of the planet.

Putin is mistaken, but with well-felt propaganda, he has been trying for months to make the emerging countries, and especially those of Africa, which support Russia more and more in its odious war, believe that it is a crusade against the imperialist West that he is leading in Ukraine by multiplying war crimes.

I invite you to listen to Putin's 39-minute speech on September 30, 2022, on the Red Square when he wanted to celebrate the illegal annexation of the 4 Ukrainian territories by Russia. This passage, in particular, will appeal to you:

“The West is arrogant and racist. The West is ready to do anything to preserve the neo-colonial system that allows it to parasitize and, in fact, plunder the entire world. They want to see us as a colony.”

Far be it from me to say that the current monetary and financial system that is ultra-dominated by America is fair. The opposite is true, which is why I am a strong supporter of Bitcoin.

However, Putin's speech makes no sense. He defends his imperialism in Ukraine where he has just annexed 4 territories, like a colonizer, saying that the West has acted as a colonizer in the past and that he is taking unfair advantage of it today.

Of course, the West has things to reproach itself for in its imperialist past. But it is not Putin's Russian war that will help the African countries that have suffered the full brunt of this imperialism to take their revenge. Putin wants to make them believe that, and the problem is that African countries are falling for it. Other emerging countries also continue not to condemn Putin's war in Ukraine.

It is a monumental mistake and it must be repeated again and again that what Putin is doing in Ukraine is a heinous war that has nothing to do with any revenge that colonized countries could take on the West. Putin is killing thousands of innocent civilians to satisfy his expansionist madness and to try to keep his dictatorial power longer in the Kremlin.

No more and no less.

It is time for the emerging countries to open their eyes and stop letting Putin pretend that his war is part of the crusade against the West. Moreover, if Xi Jinping is distancing himself from Putin more and more, it is not by chance. China knows that Putin is on the wrong side of history. That of the dictators who will be overthrown having had their eyes bigger than their stomachs.

It is only a matter of time in the case of Putin.
