The end of the US Dollar as the king has been predicted for so long that nobody believes it anymore.
The euro may have raised a few concerns (or hopes for some) in the early 2000s, but it soon became clear that the euro would not be able to break the hegemony of the US dollar over the world.
Since the U.S. dollar was weaponized at the start of the war in Ukraine unleashed by Vladimir Putin's Russia in February 2022, many imagine that the end of the dollar king will accelerate.
The narrative of Putin's Russia, accentuated by that of Xi Jinping's China, points in this direction. So does the integration of new members into the BRICS.
However, let's look beyond the propaganda of those who would like to break the hegemony of the American dollar over the world. We realize the reality is quite different, as I will explain below.
